REFO Chamber, for reaction to fire tests. exposes the samples to radiation from a constant heat source, causing the ignition of the gases emitted and the propagation of combustion, as indicated in the UNE 23721:1990 standard.
The epiradiator test is applicable to rigid or similar materials (cladding materials) of any thickness and to flexible materials thicker than 5 mm.
During the test, the ignition times, flame lengths and variations in the equilibrium of the test chamber are measured.
